I think that is extremely unlikely.
Franks couldn't count on cross over votes from Republicans, because we revile him. I'd prefer the governor to Jack Franks any day of the week. Stewart hypothesizes that, if Franks were to run well, the governor would be weakened in the general. More likely, vice versa. If Franks toppeled him in a contentious race, "D-E-F-E-A-T" is spelled for Blago-think Dan Walker/Mike Howlett/ its just like '76......except no Sun Steel.
