Gov Makes Nursing Standards More Lenient

The governor has signed several bills that would presumably enable more nurses to practice in Illinois, by making standards more lax. Puerto Rican nurses would be able to work in Illinois under the supervision of a nurse who has passed the state exam. The legislation would also exempt some foreign nurses from the exam, though they still would be mandated to take national boards, making the process more expeditious, but not easier.
