A blogger from lefty rag "American Prospect" cites an amicus brief Roberts wrote in a case known as "Bray v. Alexandria Women’s Health Clinic," on behalf of an entity called "Operation: Rescue." "Operation: Rescue" would stage sometimes violent demonstrations outside abortion clinics. They broach the point that, though he was then Solicitor General, he was not acting in his professional capacity. However, they do not explore the possibility that he was acting at the direction of one of his superiors, or that it would not have been exactly auspicious for his professional prospects for him to file a friend of the court brief on behalf of Alexandria.
