Aspersions Cast on Reports of Increased Anti Police Violence

According to a statistics released yesterday, attacks on Chicago police officers have become much more prevalent, but differences in reporting procedure may also account for that. Police officers are now required to "document" their "use of force," and some may elaborate on the surrounding circumstances.
Forty nine "major" batteries were reported last year. Eighty six percent of the officer victims were male.
