Tangled Web Emerges in Sandoval's District

According to an article in the Illinois Leader, State Sen. Martin Sandoval(D-Chicago), a Senate Appropriations chairman, is likely to run unopposed in the 2006 primary. He has reportedly extended the olive branch to Cicero Democratic Committeeman Charlie Hernandez, by agreeing to back Hernandez's wife, Lisa, in a primary bid against Rep. Michelle Chavez. Mrs. Hernandez has already won the support of Cicero's Larry Dominick(who won a high profile come-from-behind victory last spring).
