Illinois Senate Republicans by Previous Occupation

OD reached the conclusion at which many of you arrived long ago: the Senate R's are pretty much the same as the House R's-at least in terms of previous occupation. An analysis of the Senate R's by previous occupation revealed that they are, in that regard, at least, very similar to their counterparts in the lower chamber, where teaching and law were the most common fields. (In the Senate, business was an equally common background.) The data are based on currently serving members, which, of course, includes Sullivan, though he has announced his retirement. All percentages are out of the 26 members and are rounded to the nearest 1/100 of a percent.
