New Indictment Handed Down Against DeLay

Embattled US Rep Tom DeLay has been indicted on two more counts: money laundering and conspiracy to launder money. The defense motioned for a nullification of the first charge(on which he was indicted last Wednesday): conspiracy to violate campaign finance laws, aruging that the law under which he was being charged was not in effect at the time of the conduct from which the charges stem. The judge presiding over the case is presently out of state and was unable to rule on the motion. Two relatively little known associates of DeLay's, but not yet powerbroker lobbyst Jack Abramoff(sp?), have been indicted. He'll be next-unless Ronnie Earle loses his moxie.
