Ho! Ho! Ho!

Jack Abramoff may have found a lump of coal in his stocking, but wasn't afraid to use Santa's tactics with his favorite candidates and PACs. Virginia's George Allen, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, received one thousand, as did future cabinet members John Ashcroft and Spencer Abraham. Talk show host and conservative crusader Joe Scarborough got the same for one of his congressional campaigns.

Abramoff was also a supporter of the innocuous-sounding Young Jewish Leadership Political Action Committee. The officially non-partisan YJLPAC may boast a Yonkers address, but is, in fact, a GOP powerbroker, with financial ties to both Americans for a Republican Majority and DeLay's own campaign.

Abramoff's equally politically astute wife also liked to spread the largesse. Pam Abramoff, who is identified alternately as a "homemaker" and as an attorney, made over sixty thousand in contributions, including four thousand to Tom DeLay. She contributed seven thousand to DeLay's Americans for a Republican Majority.
The Swamp has more.
Capital Eye has a post on other beneficiaries of tribal contribs.
