Oy Vey!

In this essay in TIME, Joel Stein gives a great response to the crazy things Mel Gibson said about Jewish people, including that they were "responsible for all the wars in the world." Stein starts off,"Most times, when someone spouts off about how awful the Jews are, I blow it off as ignorance. If the guy just got to know us, he would totally dig us. We're funny and warm and smart and totally self-effacing." He's right. Jewish people are great. Like the smartest kid in the class who gets her glasses stolen, Jews have prospered and then gotten blamed for it. You can read the rest of Stein's story here.

Interesting analogy--and Mel Gibson would be the kid who steals her glasses!

Thanks, Mr. Skinner. I was kidnapped by a band of gypsies for two months, but now I'm trying to get back to it. :) How have you been?
